What Makes Our Exotic Furniture
- Hand-carved solid hardwood frames. Solid European hardwood (beech and hornbeam), properly seasoned before joinery. Where engineered panels are needed on case pieces, we use premium-grade MDF, never cheap pressed-board.
- Hand-applied gold and silver leaf. Composition leaf laid sheet by sheet on carved aprons, crowns, and frames -- the signature opulence of exotic design.
- Multi-layer hand-polished finish. hand-applied finish built up in layers for depth and durability. Matte or glossy, in ivory-and-gold, ebonized, and rich wood tones.
- Mirrored and decorative inlay detailing. Antique-mirror panels on sideboards and cabinets; period-correct decorative wood inlay (small pieces of contrasting wood, fitted by hand) on case pieces.
- soft-close hardware throughout. Soft-close hinges and lifetime-cycle drawer slides throughout.
- Patented, exclusive designs. Every silhouette is an original Ali Guler design -- not a catalogue reproduction you will find elsewhere.

About Our Workshop
Ali Guler Furniture is a third-generation Turkish luxury furniture maker, founded in Ankara in 1972. Our workshop has operated continuously for over fifty years, with the second and third generations of the Guler family on the floor today. We are the only US-based manufacturer of exotic hand-carved furniture handcrafted in Ankara for residential homes, presented at our Houston showroom.

Yes. Every piece is available with custom fabric, custom finish color, and custom dimensions. Fabric and finish changes come at no additional cost. Dimensional changes are available as a custom order with an average lead time of 4 months.
Can I remove the gold leaf from a piece?
