This is Art Deco furniture made the way it was made a century ago: hand-carved, not cast; mirror-clad solid wood, not foiled MDF; gilt leaf hand-laid by master artisans, not printed finish.
What Defines Our Art Deco Furniture
- Mirrored panels on solid hardwood. Solid European hardwood (beech and hornbeam) frames clad with custom-cut mirror panels. Glass beveled by hand for the period-correct edge. Not foiled MDF.
- Hand-applied gold leaf and silver leaf accents. 22-karat composition leaf, hand-laid sheet by sheet over carved aprons, pediments, and pedestals. The signature Art Deco luxe.
- Italian lacquer high-gloss finish. hand-applied finish — the most durable architectural finish on the market. High-gloss black, ivory, and bronze available across the Art Deco collection.
- Geometric inlay and decorative inlay. Period-correct chevron, sunburst, and stepped-pyramid patterns inlaid by hand using contrasting hardwoods. Mother-of-pearl inlay available on commission.

- Hand-carved, not cast. Real woodwork by third-generation master artisans in our Ankara workshop. Most Art Deco-style furniture sold in the US is molded plastic painted to imitate woodwork. Ours is not.

About Our Workshop
Ali Guler Furniture is a third-generation Turkish luxury furniture maker, founded in Ankara in 1972. Our workshop has operated continuously for over fifty years, with the second and third generations of the Guler family on the floor today. We are the only US-based manufacturer of luxury hand-carved Art Deco furniture handcrafted in Ankara for residential homes, presented at our Houston showroom, opened in 2024.
