What Makes Our Dining Sets Heirloom-Quality
- Properly seasoned solid frame. Solid European hardwood (beech and hornbeam) -- the traditional hardwoods of Turkish luxury furniture. Where engineered panels are needed, we use only premium-grade MDF, never cheap pressed-board.
- A hand-applied finish. A hand-applied, multi-coat finish built to last. Designed for daily dining use without bubbling or peeling.
- Table and chairs finished together. Every set includes 6 or 8 chairs on solid beech and hornbeam frames, upholstered and finished to match the table.
- Sealed marble and tempered glass tops on select designs. All sealed for daily-use stain resistance.
- Hand-carved aprons, pedestals, and trestles -- not molded plastic.
- Built for Texas dining rooms. Choose 6 or 8 chairs; longer tables for 10-12 guests are built to order for Houston, Dallas, and East Coast estate homes.

About Our Workshop
Ali Guler Furniture is a third-generation Turkish luxury furniture maker, founded in Ankara in 1972. Our workshop has operated continuously for over fifty years. We are the only US-based manufacturer of luxury hand-carved Turkish furniture for residential homes, presented at our Houston showroom, opened in 2024.

What sizes do your dining sets come in?
Every set comes with 6 or 8 chairs, and our tables seat 6 to 12 guests, with many extension models adjusting from 6-seat to 10-seat configurations. Standard rectangular sizes range from 78" to 120"+ in length. Round pedestal designs from 60" to 84" in diameter. Custom sizes available on commission for Houston, Dallas, and East Coast estate dining rooms.
Are your dining tables extendable?
Many models feature butterfly-leaf extension mechanisms that add 20-40 inches of length. The mechanism operates smoothly with one-hand operation, going from a 6-seat everyday configuration to a 10-seat holiday setup in under a minute.
What materials and wood species do you use?
Solid European hardwood (beech and hornbeam) frames, properly seasoned for stability. a hand-applied, multi-coat finish, hand-applied gilt accents on classical designs, sealed marble or tempered glass tops on select models. Walnut appears as a color descriptor only -- our frames are hornbeam and beech.
How do I protect the table surface?
Use trivets for hot dishes and coasters for beverages. Clean with a soft damp cloth -- avoid abrasive cleaners. Our hand-applied finish and sealed marble finishes are designed for daily dining use over decades.
Do you sell dining tables or chairs separately?
Our dining tables and chairs are sold as complete sets -- a table with 6 or 8 matching chairs. Need a longer table or more chairs? We build to size; text or call (832) 882-8458. China cabinets and sideboards from the same collections complete the room. Houston-area clients can build complete dining rooms in person at our showroom; nationwide clients work with our design team by live video tour.
Where can I see your dining sets in person?
Our Houston showroom at 3226 Hillcroft St opened in 2024 and displays a rotating selection of dining sets and dining-room collections. For clients outside Houston we routinely conduct walk-throughs by live video tour (Google Meet).
What size dining table do I need to seat eight?
For eight, a table around 96 to 108 inches long usually works well. Our dining tables are made to order, so we can size the top to your room and pair it with chairs from the same collection.
