Our luxury dining tables are hand-carved in our Ankara workshop on kiln-dried beechwood frames, finished with Italian lacquer technique using AkzoNobel coatings, and built to seat six to twelve guests. What Makes Our Dining Tables Heirloom-Quality
- Kiln-dried solid frame. Hornbeam (gurgen) and beechwood (kayin) -- the traditional hardwoods of Turkish luxury furniture. Where engineered panels are needed, we use only premium-grade MDF, never particleboard.
- Italian lacquer finish. AkzoNobel coatings -- the most durable architectural finish on the market. Designed for daily dining use without bubbling or peeling.
- Extension mechanisms. Many tables include butterfly-leaf systems that extend 20-40 inches with one-hand operation. From six-seat to ten-seat in under a minute.
- Sealed marble and tempered glass tops on select designs. All sealed for daily-use stain resistance.
- Hand-carved aprons, pedestals, and trestles -- not polyurethane mold-cast.
- Built for Texas dining rooms. Our most popular formal sizes seat 8-12 guests, sized for Houston, Dallas, and East Coast estate homes.

About Our Workshop
Ali Guler Furniture is a third-generation Turkish luxury furniture maker, founded in Ankara in 1972. Our workshop has operated continuously for over fifty years. We are the only US-based manufacturer of luxury hand-carved Turkish furniture for residential homes, presented at our Houston showroom, opened in 2024.

What sizes of dining tables do you carry?
Our tables seat 6 to 12 guests, with many extension models adjusting from 6-seat to 10-seat configurations. Standard rectangular sizes range from 78" to 120"+ in length. Round pedestal designs from 60" to 84" in diameter. Custom sizes available on commission for Houston, Dallas, and East Coast estate dining rooms.
Are your dining tables extendable?
Many models feature butterfly-leaf extension mechanisms that add 20-40 inches of length. The mechanism operates smoothly with one-hand operation, going from a 6-seat everyday configuration to a 10-seat holiday setup in under a minute.
What materials and wood species do you use?
Solid hornbeam (gurgen) and beechwood (kayin) frames, kiln-dried for stability. Italian lacquer finish with AkzoNobel coatings, hand-applied gilt accents on classical designs, sealed marble or tempered glass tops on select models. Walnut appears as a color descriptor only -- our frames are hornbeam and beech.
How do I protect the table surface?
Use trivets for hot dishes and coasters for beverages. Clean with a soft damp cloth -- avoid abrasive cleaners. Our AkzoNobel lacquer and sealed marble finishes are designed for daily dining use over decades.
Can I order a complete dining set?
Yes. We offer dining sets and complete dining-room sets with matching dining chairs, china cabinets, and sideboards from one workshop with one design language. Houston-area clients can build complete dining rooms in person at our showroom; nationwide clients work with our design team by FaceTime.
Where can I see your dining tables in person?
Our Houston showroom at 3226 Hillcroft St opened in 2024 and displays a rotating selection of dining tables, dining sets, and dining-room collections. For clients outside Houston we routinely conduct walk-throughs by FaceTime or video call.
