What Makes Our China Cabinets Luxury
- Properly seasoned solid frame. Solid European hardwood (beech and hornbeam) -- the traditional hardwoods of Turkish luxury furniture, properly seasoned to stabilize moisture before joinery. No cracking, no warping, no joint movement over decades of daily use.
- a hand-applied finish. Applied with a hand-applied, multi-coat finish built to last. Doesn't bubble. Doesn't peel. Doesn't yellow over time.
- Soft-close drawer slides and hinges throughout. The doors close as cleanly in year fifteen as they did on day one.
- Glass and lighting. Tempered glass doors -- curved, beveled, or fluted depending on style. Interior LED lighting available for dinnerware display.
- Premium-grade MDF backing where engineered panels are needed -- never cheap pressed-board.
- Hand-carved, not cast. Real woodwork by master artisans in Ankara. Most carved china cabinets sold in the US are molded plastic painted to imitate woodwork. Ours are not.

About Our Workshop
Ali Guler Furniture is a third-generation Turkish luxury furniture maker, founded in Ankara in 1972. Our workshop has operated continuously for over fifty years, with the second and third generations of the Guler family on the floor today. Every china cabinet is made in our own atelier and presented at our Houston showroom, opened in 2024.

Are china cabinets still in style?
Yes. Display cabinets have returned to formal dining rooms, especially in larger Texas, Florida, and East Coast homes built for family entertaining. The contemporary use is broader than dinnerware alone -- crystal, art glass, heirloom serving pieces, and curated objects all belong on display.
What size china cabinet should I choose?
For a six-to-eight-seat dining room, plan for a cabinet 60-72" wide and 78-86" tall. Larger formal rooms support 84"+ widths and double-stacked hutch designs. Always measure ceiling clearance, doorway width for delivery, and ensure 36" of clearance in front for opening glass doors.
Glass-front or solid-door?
Glass front for display (most common for dinnerware and crystal). Solid door for storage of linens, silverware, and serving pieces. Many of our designs combine both -- glass top for display, solid base for storage.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock pieces ship from our Houston warehouse within two to three weeks. Made-to-order pieces are crafted in Ankara and ship in twelve to sixteen weeks. We deliver across the United States via three service tiers -- curbside, white-glove standard, and white-glove flex -- across six shipping zones.
Can I customize a china cabinet?
Yes. Dimensions, glass style, interior shelving configuration, finish color, and gilt detail are commonly customized. For full home commissions we also offer matching dining tables, sideboards, and built-in millwork. Book a free design consultation for a quote tailored to your room.
